B Corp certified video production

Most production companies will tell you they care. We'd rather show than tell.

Green Thumb Media is one of only a small number of B Corp certified video production companies in Australia, or anywhere. We make brand films and customer stories for purpose-driven brands, and we make them to a standard that holds up to the same scrutiny your own organisation is held to. If your values have to survive a procurement review, a supply chain audit, or a sceptical legal team, we are built to pass.

What B Corp certification actually means for your project

B Corp certification is not a logo you buy. It is an assessment of how a company treats its people, its community, and the planet, scored and verified by the non-profit B Lab. We certified in December 2025 with a B Impact Score of 84.3, comfortably above the threshold, and we are reassessed on it.

In practice, here is what that means when you hire us. Every project is assessed for its environmental impact, and we work to reduce it rather than offset our way out of it. Every person on the crew, from director of photography to runner, is paid a living wage. And a fixed share of our hours each year goes to pro bono work for organisations doing the unglamorous work of change.

Why it matters for you

If you are a certified B Corp yourself, or working towards it, your suppliers are part of your story. Plugging an unverified production company into your supply chain can undo the very thing you are trying to demonstrate. We slot in without the nervous glances from legal or procurement, because the certification does the vouching for us.

And if your brand is built on sustainability or social impact, the way your content is made should match the message inside it. There is a credibility gap when a film about climate responsibility is shot by a crew flying in on a whim and skipping the things that actually reduce footprint. We close that gap. The how matches the what.

If you operate in the European Union, the case is becoming practical as well as principled. Under the EU's expanding sustainability reporting rules, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, larger companies are increasingly required to account for the environmental and social impact of their whole value chain, not just their own operations. That means your suppliers' practices show up in your own disclosures. Working with a verified B Corp gives you a partner whose labour, environmental and governance standards have already been independently assessed, so the supplier side of your reporting and due diligence is far easier to stand behind. Rather than chasing a production company for data and assurances after the fact, you start from a credential that was built to be scrutinised.

The work itself still has to be brilliant

Certification gets you in the door. It does not make the film good. We have made brand films and customer stories for Lenovo, Flow Power, Human Rights Watch, Stone & Wood, Qcells and 3M, work that has earned international acclaim, not points for good intentions. The ethics are the floor, not the ceiling.

With us, you get both.
